    1. Good job! Well, red leaf lettuce is in spring mix, so that's still really good! :) Angela

  2. I got most of them correct. My family and I have a spinach salad every night.

  3. I Only missed one of them, and I can't wait to try it now, the red leaf lettuce. It might be something regional?

    1. Good for you! I'm not sure if red leaf lettuce is regional. I live in Iowa, and it's plentiful at both the grocery stores and farmer's markets. It has a slightly bitter taste, so I like it mixed with other sweeter greens and a fruity vinagrette dressing. Enjoy! ~Angela

  4. I knew them all, I love veggies.

Have you ever grilled radicchio salad? It's great! Just lightly grill the heads, drizzle with a bit of olive oil, some fresh lemon and a some slivers of Parmigiano-Reggiano. yum!

    1. Yay!! I have never grilled radicchio, but I will add it to my list of things to try! We've been firing up the grill a lot in my neck of the woods lately, so I will give it a go! Thanks! ~ Angela, Whole Foods Living, http://www.wholefoodsliving.blogspot.com/

  6. I got them all except the red leaf lettuce...because my mind said red leaf lettuce and then said...no it has to have another name LOL! I love my greens :)

    1. Great! And, red leaf lettuce may have another name. That's just what it's called in my neck of the woods! :) ~Angela

  7. I missed 2--the kale and radicchio--but I still knew I love them all. I guess it goes to show you don't necessarily have to know what something is to think it's delicious! ;)

    1. I feel the same way! At restaurants I often eat salads with mixed greens, and I have no idea exactly what I'm eating! I don't think I've met a leafy green that I didn't like! Yum! ~Angela

  8. Got 'em ... and before breakfast.
Am I the only one who picks EVERY PIECE of radicchio out of those mixed salads? Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeew.

    Happy A to Z!

    1. Good for you! Sometimes I also pick the radicchio out of a mixed salad. It has a slightly bitter taste, and if I'm not in the mood for that, it goes! But, a reader commented to try grilling it with a little olive oil. Then, squeeze on fresh lemon and a sprinkle of parm/regg cheese. Now, that sounds amazing! Maybe the grilling takes the "edge" off? Hmm....

  9. I get to be the dunce in class today. I got Brussel sprouts and cabbage right, was unsure about the red leaf lettuce, and had no clue about the last two. Funny thing is, I eat spinach all the time. :)

I enjoyed your post and am glad that I found your site!
